Wireless Security

Malicious Hackers are out there waiting to exploit vulnerabilities and are likely to attack systems that require the least amount of effort to break into. It is important to prepare, prepare and then prepare some more by addressing all vulnerabilities and having the correct countermeasures in place to prevent attacks. Abacos’ security offerings are some of the most comprehensive solutions available for providing protection to our client's wireless networks. The process that our engineers follow is based on formal security testing methodologies developed by the Institute for Security and Open Methodologies (ISECOM).

Vulnerability Assessment – Engineers check for known vulnerabilities against a system or systems in a wireless network

Security Assessment – This assessment refers generally to the vulnerability assessments which include false positive verification, network weakness identification and customized professional analysis

Penetration Testing – Engineers will attempt to gain privileged access by pre-conditioned means to a wireless network that is believed to be a hardened system with a goal of acquiring a trophy which could include information or file.

Risk Assessments – This refers generally to security analysis through interviews and mid-level research which includes business justification, legal justification and industry specific justification. These justifications can include HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI Rules and Regulations.

Security Testing – This test is a project-oriented risk assessment of systems and networks through the application of professional analysis on a security assessment where penetration is often used to confirm false positives and false negatives as project time allows.

Security Policy Development – Consultants will revamp existing wireless network security policies or create new security policies and procedures.
